The U.S. is setting very high standards of cybersecurity compliance, according to Watkin-Child. In reference to DFARS - the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement - he says, "The U.S. Department of Defense has made it very clear [that] if you don't comply to their default requirements, you will not be awarded a contract."

In a video interview with Information Security Media Group, Watkin-Child discusses:

  • Shifts in U.S. cybersecurity regulation and the impact on businesses in the U.K. and EU;
  • How companies in the U.K. and EU can best prepare for these changes;
  • Key regulatory predictions for 2022.

Watkin-Child is a technology, risk and security executive with over 20 years of experience as a group vice president of cyber risk, CISO, head of IT and European head of cyber and risk. He is a founding partner of Parava Security Solutions and the Augusta Group.
