IBM has acquired Lighthouse Security Group, LLC, a cloud security services provider. Lighthouse Security Group's Gateway platform protects identity and data in cloud environments.

Lighthouse Gateway will be integrated into IBM's managed security services offering. Customers can deploy and use the solution from a secure, hosted environment. As a result, organizations can take steps to help protect corporate data and prevent identity theft by ensuring that only authorized personnel can access sensitive corporate information.

Oracle Solution Manages Encryption Keys

Oracle introduces Oracle Key Vault, a software appliance designed to securely manage encryption keys and credential files in the enterprise data center.

Oracle Key Vault provides secure management of encryption keys, including Oracle wallet files, Java KeyStores, Kerberos keytab files, SSH key files and SSL certificate files. Optimized for the Oracle technology stack, including Oracle Database, the solution can be deployed in existing environments.
