What you’ll be doing... The Supplier Risk Management Analyst is responsible for supporting corporate wide specific improvement initiatives with Verizon’s supplier engagements. The primary focus is to drive the change management effort for supplier risk management with a focus on relationship management by fostering new ways to mitigate risk with different stakeholders involved depending on the needs of a risk assessment. This person is expected to apply analytical skills to make decisions to help drive changes through business acumen and technology savviness. She/he will program manage the risk review of a supplier from a contract(s) perspective to document Supplier level policies and procedures for Verizon. The team member will partner with Verizon Risk experts to mitigate and solve issues found with the Suppliers interaction with Verizon. She/he will seek out and implement process improvements and best practices that can be leveraged and drive efficiency across Sourcing and the Global Supply Chain Organization. The individual will effectively collaborate with Compliance, Risk Management, IT, Sourcing, Finance, Global Supply Chain Systems support, and Verizon wide business stakeholders. He/she will provide operational support and assist in leading projects in production and presentations to cross functional leadership. This person will provide support for Risk Assessment team and have the ability to manipulate data in order to communicate project success trends. This position requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in areas such as risk management, systems, sourcing, supply chain, business and financial analytics or change management. Also required is strategic thinking with the ability to be self-directed, and to manage multiple deliverables in a dynamic environment where requirements and constraints may evolve frequently. Manage multiple complex business projects simultaneously to completion; responsible for end to end implementation of the projects. Define / Manage Project Scope: lead the change management processes to drive effective project execution (e.g., launch, deployment, revisions, change control) Manage / Control Project Timelines and Resources: forecast variances and trends throughout the project lifecycle to ensure project resources are met and be able to ensure a seamless transitions Direct and manage a dynamic group of professionals to execute on the daily requirements of the organization to achieve departmental goals. Completes and audits on-going annual risk reviews and control assurance activity as necessary to determine if Verizon should engage in business with a supplier. Coordinates the completion of remediation activities with business management, arising from risk assessments and reviews performed. Monitors process compliance and provides management information to appropriate stakeholders at the leadership level. Provides reporting to various levels of executive and management forums by pulling reports and data from various Verizon systems. Reporting on Key Performance Indicators and metrics to ensure third-party is achieving key business objectives. Supports ongoing delivery of weekly and monthly reporting to the TPRM Committee, Sourcing VP , and leadership within various business units. What we’re looking for... You'll need to have: Bachelor’s degree or four or more year of work experience. Four or more years of relevant work experience. Three years of experience in Risk Management, Audit, Finance, Sourcing, Procurement, Change Management or Supply Chain. Strong technical experience with Excel and PowerPoint. Even better if you have: Master’s degree. Telecommunication industry and risk planning experience. Analytical skills and communication skills. Ability to work independently and make sound business decisions. Well organized, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks. Ability to prioritize projects, establish realistic timelines/milestones and achieve results. Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact professionally and effectively with all levels of management including senior leaders. Strong relationship management including peers, executives, internal/external customers, suppliers, and various stakeholders.
