Twitter’s communication with the public in the wake of a recent hacking incident provides lessons to others on the value of an incident response plan, says attorney Sadia Mirza.

“Businesses are not going to be judged by the fact an incident has occurred. … The focus is always going to be on your response,” she says.

In a video interview with Information Security Media Group, Mirza discusses:

  • Whether California Consumer Privacy Act enforcement could apply to the Twitter incident.

Mirza is a cybersecurity, information governance and privacy attorney at the law firm Troutman Pepper. She focuses her practice on the financial services industry.
